Knickerbocker Ice Festival Teams up
with MI-BOX to Collect Coats
for People to People

Pomona, NY - January 4, 2012 – The Knickerbocker Ice Festival and MI-BOX Moving & Mobile Storage of West Haverstraw are encouraging festival attendees to donate clean coats and clothing for a Coat Drive to benefit People to People, Rockland’s largest food pantry charity committed to assisting the county’s neediest families. The Sixth Annual Knickerbocker Ice Festival 2012 is being held at Rockland Lake State Park on January 28th and 29th.

“We hope everyone comes to the festival and brings at least one, clean coat that we can give to People to People. Whether for children or adults, your donation can go a long way in helping a family in need right here in our backyard,” said Lauren Schroeder, Marketing Manager, MI-BOX Moving & Mobile Storage.

MI-BOX will have their familiar collection units out at the festival, being held at Rockland Lake State Park, so all anyone needs to do is bring an extra coat or two with them when they come to enjoy the Ice Festival.

“Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to attend the Knickerbocker Ice Festival January 28th and 29th and we hope to get many coats to distribute to those in need,” said Rosemarie Monaco, co-producer of the Knickerbocker Ice Festival and member of the board of People to People.
